Specially designed for those who use knives for long periods of time, or for those who have difficulty in gripping, Taylor’s Eye Witness has developed a 13 piece range of ergonomically designed knives. The range has proved to be a revolution in knife design with its unique handle which is contoured in three dimensions and nestles perfectly in the palm of any hand.
So how do they do it? The knives, which carry the same line from the tip of the blade to the end of the handle, are designed as a single entity and allow for more leverage. This lessens fatigue on the arm and permits a more relaxed cutting position. Furthermore, they are suitable for left or right handed users.
Alastair Fisher, who is Managing Director at Taylor’s Eye Witness, believes the range is an example of British knife design at its best. He says: “We are very excited at being able to offer this range of ergonomic knives as they really do accommodate everyone. Not only do they provide a solution for prolonged users of knives like chefs, they are also ideal for those with an impaired grip. Saying that, everyone can feel the benefits of using these knives – they are a pleasure to cut with.”
The range will be on show at BBC Good Food this week and are currently sold via Lakeland Limited, good kitchenware stores and http://www.premiercutlery.co.uk/.
